Interior Architect

Maggie & Rose is looking for an interior architect to join its team in London.

From the first Kensington club offering a beautiful, creative space for children and parents, it has now become a lucrative British global brand, boasting sites across London, Hong Kong, China, Singapore and expansion plans for more sites worldwide.
Maggie & Rose provides a unique opportunity for designers to innovate and execute exciting and original interior environments and outdoor family spaces around the world in a supportive and talent focused working environment. You will be working with a small team at our offices in London and liaising with counterparts worldwide.
Experience
You’ll have a minimum of two years’ experience in the technical design process of some of the following; members clubs, restaurants and cafes, co-working, nurseries, play areas, family-focused spaces.
You will have a keen interest in working in projects in Asia, specifically China.
Responsibilities:
- collaborating with our interior design team on the technical and creative aspects of our design and build projects
- liaising with overseas architects and project managers on our international design and building projects, especially APAC
- managing the day-to-day flow of design related information (elevations, plans and planning) between our design team and our overseas architects/partners
- liasing with overseas partners on the execution of feature design elements and bespoke furniture items designed by our UK team and executed by local contractors
- managing the database and developing a system for BIM that integrates with our procurement and shipping operations
- working with our procurement team on dressing lists and required purchases for new sites. Incorporating into an appropriate database or BIM system
- researching and sourcing materials in the UK including finishes, furniture, soft furnishings, furniture, special art pieces and child-related items
- ensuring awareness of our brand standards with regards to environment, sustainability, colour, texture tone and finish
- ensuring awareness of our brand standards as regards to child-friendly toys with educational values
- working with tour interior design team during the dressing and fit-out phase of new club builds
- briefing and liasing with freelance art department and production design personnel during build, dressing and fit out
- working on CAD drawings supplied from architects, plotting the furniture, and layout of new sites
- producing SketchUp models
Skills:
- AutoCAD
- SketchUp
- a keen interest in BIM and specifications
- customised construction drawings for bespoke furnishings and features
- Microsoft Office applications
- fluent in written and spoken English
