Martin Brudnizki Design Studio is hiring a business development assistant to join its team in New York or London.

Martin Brudnizki Design Studio (MBDS) is an internationally acclaimed interior architecture and design practice based in London and New York. Over the last eighteen years the studio has worked across the world with notable clients including Four Seasons, Rosewood Hotels, Six Senses Luxury Resorts, Soho House Group, The Birley Group, Caprice Holdings, Sydell Group and The Royal Academy of Arts, alongside a number of private residences. Having recently completed the redesign of Annabel’s in Mayfair and The Surf Club Restaurant with Chef Thomas Keller in Miami, the studio is currently working on creating the interiors for projects in London, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Miami, Paris, Zurich, Copenhagen, Madrid, Stockholm, Athens and Hong Kong.

MBDS are looking for a business development assistant to join the studio. The focus of this role is to identify potential customers, and decision makers within the client organisations, develop and maintain contact databases, build relationships with new clients/collaborators and support the building of a robust pipeline of opportunities. The individual must be a confident communicator with excellent written and verbal skills. This role reports directly to the business development associate.

Responsibilities to include:

  • setting up meetings between client decision makers and the business development associate
  • helping to plan approaches and pitches
  • participating in pricing the proposals
  • helping to maintain and enhance existing relationships
  • supporting business development planning
  • researching the global market and competitors to identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators as well as potential leads
  • ensuring that MBDS marketing material is fit for purpose and of the highest possible quality
  • attending industry functions, and providing feedback and information on market and relevant trends
  • working with the business development associate and the management team to define new channels for MBDS and &Objects
  • preparing monthly reports
  • helping to define quarterly new business KPIs and work to ensure they are met
  • supporting the business development associate in their travel and meeting preparation

Experience:

  • experience in a role where business development and communication are key
  • CRM/Salesforce/database management
  • university degree in related subject – design/architecture (preferred)
  • experience with the management of multiple assignments
  • skilled in Microsoft Office; specifically, Excel
  • skilled in InDesign & Photoshop (preferred)
  • fluency in English and possession of a valid work permit or visa for working in the UK
  • understanding of product design, interior design and the luxury hospitality market
