Communications coordinator
at RSHP
Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners is looking for a communications coordinator to become part of its team in London.
Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners (RSHP) is an award-winning international architectural practice headquartered in the City of London. We work across multiple sectors on a variety of exciting projects ranging from small, innovative housing developments, through to very large-scale international infrastructure projects.
RSHP is looking for a communications coordinator. The suitable candidate will work closely with the strategic communications and marketing manager and wider team.
The role will include responding to press queries and preparing new marketing content. You will take responsibility for writing press releases, monitoring media coverage and managing online press.
Key responsibilities – to include, but not be restricted to, the following:
- expanding our press coverage beyond the traditional architectural press
- updating major stakeholders and sponsors on press activity, anticipating press issues as well as reacting to breaking stories
- leading the social media strategy and curating the output across various channels
- organising press briefings and building relations with key journalists will be a component of the job
- coordinating awards submissions for the practice and submitting the various applications
- helping to organise events for the promotion of the practice with a particular regard to new work
- coordination of key articles for ‘press’ wall in the kitchen
- filing digital press cuttings
- create and update job sheets for in the RSHP brochure and website
- assisting with ad-hoc tasks
Skills and qualities:
- excellent writing and editorial skills
- experience in producing high quality copywriting
- excellent verbal communication skills
- experience in managing a media strategy across, radio and television, print and online both in the UK and internationally
- an ability to organise press conference and briefings, manage press trips and photo calls
- sensitively handle embargoed and privileged information
- an ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with journalists, stakeholders and client
- develop and maintain excellent relations and dialogue with senior managers, architects and the other departments in the practice
- prioritising your time and effectively managing a busy and varied workload
Contract: permanent
Hours: 0930 – 1800 Monday to Friday
