HKS has an opportunity for an architect with healthcare design experience to join its firm in London.

We are looking for an experienced and talented architect to join our London studio and work on projects within our health practice area. The role requires a candidate with sound technical knowledge and proven experience working across all stages from concept to project completion. The candidate must have experience in leading projects within traditional and contractor-led procurement ideally with some experience within hospitals and healthcare.

The role would suit an experienced architect (RIBA Part 3) with proven delivery experience. Alongside a deep technical knowledge and a design focus on detailing knowledge the candidate is required to have excellent written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills in English with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, to multi-task and to manage changing and challenging workloads.

Responsibilities:

  • as a member of the health team you will be tasked with delivering high-quality work throughout the design process from concept to completion
  • whilst doing so you will develop and nurture strong relationships with our clients and team members
  • your responsibilities will include leading on design packages, 3D models, presentations, client liaison, project controls and reports in line with project scope and deliverables

Qualifications:

  • registered architect (RIBA 3 or international equivalent)
  • significant experience post-qualification
  • experienced in traditional contracts
  • a proactive and positive attitude
  • an outgoing personality with a team-focused approach
  • interest in the work of HKS
  • experience in managing project teams and client relationships
  • strong knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, MS Office
