Established & Sons is looking for a studio assistant to join its firm in London.

Salary: £20,000 (on experience)

About Established & Sons:
Established & Sons is a recognised luxury brand that has led the way in contemporary furniture design pioneering collaborations with designers, artists and architects since its foundation in 2005. We are a 15-people strong, fun-loving team based in central London (Old Street). With the launch of our 2019 At Work collection, we are growing the sales team to better promote our new products and showcase our work at the forefront of the international design industry.
About the role
We are looking for a passionate, motivated, and driven studio assistant with exceptional attention to detail to work within the sales and operations team at our London HQ, reporting to the sales director.
Duties and responsibilities in detail:
- to answer and manage general sales and product enquiries in competent and efficient manner
- to provide a high level of customer service to clients, e.g. by ensuring quick and accurate responses are given to enquiries, and to assist in the management of customer accounts
- to generate accurate quotations and order confirmations in the ERP system and liaise with the operations team and credit control to ensure orders are fulfilled within the agreed lead times
- to process orders for dispatch including organising shipments to end customers, preparing appropriate paperwork for shipping and customs, updating the ERP and stock management system
- to ensure client payments are received in a timely manner, requesting deposit and balance payments and following up on any late/outstanding payments
- to execute quality checks and oversee remedial actions at warehouses and suppliers as required
- to co-manage our showroom, maintaining order and on-brand styling and be actively involved in regular showroom refresh cycles
- to act as a link between the sales and operations teams and to support cross-departmental projects such as trade shows, major events or stock takes and to provide assistance to other members of these teams as
needed
Skills
Desire to develop their career in a commercial role within the design industry; this role will offer excellent exposure to all aspects of sales and operations and provide a great foundation for career progression in either field.
You:
- must be able to present information clearly and concisely
- must be numerically literate and able to collate, analyse and interpret basic statistical data
- must have a confident personality, yet be respectful and enjoy working with others in a team
- must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with staff and client contacts
- must be dedicated and approachable and treat clients with politeness and discretion
Qualifications and experience:
- a university degree within a design field
- good understanding and use of Excel and Microsoft Office
- working knowledge of the design industry and the world of design
- some industry work experience, preferably in the London design market would be preferable
