Modus Furniture is hiring a design visualiser to join its team in Chard, Somerset.

Modus is a highly respected, award-winning contemporary furniture brand, designing, manufacturing and selling its own ranges for home and commercial use.

Clients include multinational companies, British icons, architects, office and workspace interiors and luxury hotels around the world. We work with some of the world’s most renowned designers to produce furniture of an exceptionally high standard in terms of design and quality whilst keeping our footprint as light as possible.

We are an established team of dynamic professionals working in a fast-paced, stimulating environment. We are based in fabulous, architect designed, custom-built offices and production facilities, set in one of the most scenic rural locations you could imagine.

Job summary 

A key player in the design team.

A talented 3D visualiser who is passionate about design and can demonstrate the ability to consistently create high quality furniture and interior visuals. The ideal candidate will be highly creative and confident with a superb eye for composition and a wide range of 3D skills and techniques.

Your role will include:

• be the sole 3D visualiser for the head office design team
• producing high quality 3D furniture visuals for web and client presentations
• producing high quality, photo-realistic interior architecture scenes
• producing internal and external presentations
• manage all product 3D file libraries including BIM/Revit
• assisting the design team, where needed, with engineering and manufacturing drawings

You need experience in:

• you will have a degree in furniture design/design or similar
• you will have a minimum of three years’ experience in the furniture design or architecture industry
• you will be an expert in Inventor, 3ds Max, AutoCAD, V-Ray
• you will have excellent hand sketching ability
• you will be able to create high quality renders to a professional standard
• you will have strong experience in the production of 3D images, including diagrams, sketches, conceptual imagery and realistic CGI
• you will be proficient in Microsoft Office
• you will have excellent time and project management skills
• you will ideally have experience in Vault, Rhino, Sketchup and Revit/BIM
• you will have an enthusiastic, energetic and outgoing personality
• you will be able to multi-task and work under pressure in an often-fluid environment
• you will exhibit a high degree of initiative and the flexibility required to successfully accommodate deadlines
• you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills
