Tranter McManus Architects is looking for an associate director to join its firm in London.
Tranter McManus Architects has an exciting opportunity for a new senior role in our busy, central London office. The position offers the chance to build on the practice’s established reputation in housing, to develop new business opportunities/growth areas and to help formulate the future direction of the practice.
We are looking for someone who is currently at associate director level and now looking to further develop their career, as well as to expand collaborative working with parent company medical architecture on a range of mixed-use and specialist residential projects.
The successful candidate will have excellent, proven design ability and will also take a lead on a number of medium to large scale residential projects.
Core professional skills required:
- ARB registered architect with considerable UK housing experience (ten-plus years)
- strong design ambition and track record
- strong interest in practice development
- excellent client-facing skills
- strong leadership qualities within a collaborative culture
- experience with project delivery and built work
- excellent understanding of the UK planning process and building regulations
- excellent visual skills for presentations and design work
- excellent communication
Role responsibilities:
- team leadership essential with an ability to manage multiple projects, staff resources and oversee junior staff
- active involvement in financial management and business development in support of the directors
- lead on securing new work
- work on projects at all design stages (RIBA 0-7)
- be actively involved in the design process and ensure quality during project delivery
- manage own projects and workload, including fees and client relationships
Salary: starting salary will be negotiated according to professional experience. An attractive package of benefits is also available.
