Design assistant
Holloways of Ludlow is looking for a design assistant to join its growing London team.
We are an award winning kitchen and home design company based in Mortlake, SW London. We have our own workshop in Shrewsbury, where we make our kitchens, as well as showrooms in Richmond, Shepherds Bush and shortly, Clapham.
We are looking for an addition to our design support team. The role in this department is to assist our designers and project managers at varying stages of the design process. This can include producing 3D renders for sales meetings, 2D technical drawings for manufacturing or the building teams, collecting and arranging materials or samples from suppliers, completing product order lists from drawings and booking appointments with third parties i.e Thames Water and BT.
We are looking for a bright and hard working person with exceptional attention to detail. Our design support team generally have either a background in architecture or technical/product design, but are also willing to learn so that they can quickly swap between kitchen and architectural focused projects.
The ideal candidate would have one-two years office/design studio experience as well as the following:
– AutoCAD fluent
– Fluent written and spoken English
– experience with a 3D design software, we use Virtual Worlds
– degree of 2:1 or higher in any of the following: Architecture II, Interior Architecture, Product Design, Model making, Engineering
-Manual drivers licence and willing to drive in London if required
Our Showrooms are open Monday- Saturday with a 5 day working week. If you work the Saturday then you would have your weekend as Sunday and Monday. Hours ar 9am-6pm with an hour for lunch and you are expected to be able to work from any of the showroom locations if needed.
