Mark Grotjahn Studios is seeking an in-house architect and project manager for its busy artist studio in Los Angeles, USA.

High-profile, international artist’s studio seeking an eager architect and project manager for important building projects.

Working directly with the artist and also influential architectural firms on the following:

  • primary task and duties will be to oversee existing multi-building project by internationally renowned architects, on their first North American project. Plans have been finalized and the project is moving towards the application process with construction to begin Spring 2020
  • direct design and consultation on exhibition spaces and studios for the artist
  • managing, both as a liaison and independently, large budget, multi-year, ground-up innovative builds

This is an opportunity to work with a major artist and major architecture firms directly while having the potential for developing and fully realizing the applicant’s high-concept designs.

This job is for capable, risk-taking visionaries, who communicate and manage high-pressure scenarios well as means to the ends of actualizing their art.

Requirements:

  • must have strong administrative experience and skills
  • must have experience with managing and tracking construction budgets
  • must be diligent with time and calendar management and planning
  • must be self-directed, vigilant, assertive, and a good clear communicator
  • must be willing to travel nationally and internationally

The position is within a high paced environment that requires the ability to manage more than one thing at a time.

Candidate must currently live in Los Angeles or be willing to relocate.

Salary commensurate with experience.

Full-time, five days a week schedule with possibility of work off-hours.
