&Tradition is hiring a senior product developer/project manager to join its firm in Copenhagen, Denmark.
To support our growth, we are hiring a senior product developer/project manager for our lighting division. You will work from our office located in the heart of Copenhagen and will be part of a team consisting of four of our existing product developers, one intern, as well as an entire sourcing and development team in China. You will report to the supply chain and product development director.
About the job
You will be responsible for driving the development of new lighting products as well as managing and ensuring a high quality in our existing products. The job requires very close cooperation with our production partners, external advisors, as well as our internal design team and external designers.
With strong sourcing and project management skills, you will take full responsibility of the product development process.
Your key tasks will be to:
- manage the development process from the concept stage to the final product
- identify new suppliers on a commercial basis
- research technical and functional developments within lighting
- ensure ongoing quality control of productions
- coordinate and manage deliverables from external partners such as engineers, prototype workshops and test institutes
- keep a close dialogue with designers throughout the entire development process
- day-to-day management of one junior product developer
About you and qualifications:
- ability to develop lighting from concept to final product
- a structured mindset
- thriving with deadlines and never missing them
- outgoing, dynamic and taking initiative
- minimum five years’ experience from the lighting industry is a prerequisite
- commercial mindset
- fluent in English, oral and written
- travelling is estimated to 50 days per year and will primarily be to factories in China where our lighting production is taking place
