FF&E interior stylist
at Lambs and Lions
Lambs and Lions is seeking an FF&E interior stylist to expand its growing creative team in Berlin.
This person will be based in the Berlin office working closely with creative director, FF&E coordinators, designers and suppliers alike.
The position represents a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of creative design. At least four years’ experience is required and a degree in interior design, textiles or similar is desirable for this role.
Role outline
The role of FF&E interior stylist is essential to ensure that the furniture, fittings and equipment —FF&E, requirements on all projects are sourced, on budget and to brief.
You will have proven experience having worked closely with interior designers to ensure projects are delivered holistically.
You are expected to be ‘hands-on’ in your approach whilst using your initiative to complete tasks with a calm natured response.
You will be working with other designers and the FF&E team to schedule and cost all FF&E specifications. Towards the end of projects attend final site visits with creative director and senior designers and assist with any FF&E or styling requirements as required.
Required skills:
- proven working knowledge of new build interior construction and refit projects, particularly FF&E procurement — materials, finishes, detailing and scheduling
- proven experience in dealing with suppliers and manufacturers in a highly professional manner, and a proven ability to maintain and develop existing relationships with suppliers and manufacturers
- self-motivated but also a good team player who is able to work quickly and efficiently in an organised manner
- self-confident, receptive to constructive feedback and able to cope with criticism of your work
- ability to manage time and work flow of projects efficiently
- a good understanding of current trends and experience of working in high-end hospitality projects
- previous experience working on restaurant/hospitality/leisure projects is essential
- excellent knowledge of materials and finishes
- proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Office are vital for this role
Responsibilities:
- provide information and make suggestions on availability of suitable FF&E as required
- create boards/layout plans, and attend meetings to present FF&E concepts to clients
- managing projects efficiently, within schedule and within budget in close cooperation with the creative director as a member of the project team, working closely with designers to prepare full FF&E schedule
- work with FF&E coordinator team to prepare, schedule and cost all FF&E specifications
- liaise with suppliers throughout the procurement of FF&E
- assist in final stages of the project ensuring that all FF&E, accessories and styling requirements are met
- oversee professional photography at the conclusion of a project
- assist with any ad hoc FF&E issues as they arise
Good command over the English language both written and verbal are required for this role.
This position is based within our Berlin office, however a valid passport is required for travel.
