Brodie Neill is seeking a design and studio assistant to become part of its team in London.

Brodie Neill is a London-based designer producing limited edition works, furniture commissions and one-off artworks and installations. His Shoreditch studio also concurrently designs and batch produces a collection of furniture under the Made in Ratio brand.

We are looking for a new design and studio assistant to join our team.

We’re looking for someone with the following skills:

  • confident/good experience with CAD and digital design (experience with Rhino 3D, Grasshopper, Cinema 4D, Houdini preferable)
  • confident/good experience using Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite (experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premier Pro preferable)
  • comfortable working collaboratively in a small team as well as independently
  • excellent hands-on practical skills and experience of using both hand and power tools (model and sample making experience preferable)
  • an eye for detail and good research, documentation and presentation skills
  • ability to problem solve complex digital and practical challenges
  • interest in using a range of materials and exploring new techniques
  • interest in exploring and using eco-friendly and recyclable materials in new and innovative ways

We’re looking for someone who is keen to get involved in all aspects of the studio, from the digital design to the hands-on practical work. Someone who is just as comfortable behind a computer as they are at a workbench and is happy to get stuck into both long-term projects and the day-to-day studio tasks.
