Yarn Collective has an opportunity for a sales representative to join its studio in London.
Yarn Collective supplies premium quality materials, furniture and lighting for interiors covering a broad range of projects from high end residential to hospitality. Our focus is to bring different products from around the world to the UK market. Some of our brands include Fault Lines, Jiun Ho, Lance Wovens, and Sorensen Leather. A strong affinity to weaving runs through the different materials we sell from woven textile art created in Amsterdam to Italian handwoven leather along with a wide range of textiles from around the world. We have recently diversified into furniture with a collection by Jiun Ho and we are also partnering with a designer to launch a furniture brand towards the end of 2019.
The role is for a salesperson to manage a number of customer accounts presenting the collections we carry and developing customer relationships. The role also involves some administration with weekly reporting on leads and sales as well as order management.
We are looking for someone who is driven, passionate and keen to join a young, dynamic, growing business.
Main responsibilities:
- introducing customers to our diverse collection of interiors materials and products including furniture, leather, lighting, textiles, textile art and woven leather
- arranging meetings to present the collections which will involve travelling around London
- following up on the meetings efficiently and sending out samples to clients
- developing relationships with key interior designers and managing their accounts
- working on bespoke projects with interior designers co-ordinating sampling and providing quotations etc
- managing leads, opportunities and sales
- weekly reporting on leads and sales
- order management, seeing orders through to delivery stage, keeping customers updated and informed
- occasional trips to visit suppliers in Europe and further afield
Who we’re looking for:
- someone who is happy meeting new people every day
- strong interpersonal skills and excellent customer service
- an ability to use own initiative and have good time management
- conscientious and organised
- competent with Excel and Outlook
- a drive to develop the role over a long period
No experience necessary, just a strong interest in interiors materials and craftsmanship and a desire to learn and grow within the company. Someone with a qualification in textiles or design may be more drawn to this position.
Salary: £22,000 plus good commission
Location: Chelsea Harbour Design Centre, London
Normal working hours are: 9:30am-5:30pm (this may vary slightly).
We will provide comprehensive product training.
