Part 2 architectural assistant

HTA Design has an opening for a Part 2 architectural assistant to join its team in London.
HTA Design is an award-winning multi-disciplinary design partnership of specialist teams working collaboratively in architecture, urban design, landscape architecture, interior design, graphic design and communications, sustainability and planning. Our focus is on creating great residential places – we have a 50-year track record of the design and delivery of better housing.
The Part 2 architectural assistant will be working in a team on pre or post-planning stage projects, and should be able to demonstrate ability in these design stages. You will gain experience on mid and large-scale developments whilst developing your design and professional skills.
Contract: permanent
Salary: competitive
To be considered, the successful candidate will have:
- Part 2 architecture qualification or overseas equivalent
- at least one year’s experience working within a UK based architectural practice
- a keen interest in housing design and a knowledge of UK design standards and statutory requirements
- demonstrable experience in residential projects
- knowledge of UK residential design and statutory requirements
- strong design, technical and presentation skills, demonstrated through a well presented and organised portfolio
- strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact comfortably with people at all levels
- the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team
- strong attention to detail and good problem-solving skills
- a can-do attitude and commitment to own self-development
- reliable with good timekeeping skills with the ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
- excellent office administration and IT skills, with experience of using all or some of the following software packages is desirable; MS Office applications, AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Lumion
