Neil Dusheiko has an opening for an experienced Part 2 assistant or qualified project architect to become part of its team in London.

We are looking for an experienced project architect (or experienced architectural assistant) to join our friendly canal-side studio in Islington to work on a range of high-end residential projects.

We are a friendly and creative office and can provide excellent opportunities to further your growth as an architect and realise your passion for creating domestic spaces.

The ideal applicant would have proficiency in delivering residential projects and have experience in working across all RIBA stages on domestic scale projects. You would have confidence and ability to communicate design concepts and ideas in a clear rational manner and the technical knowledge to effortlessly realise these ideas.

Please apply if you meet the following criteria:

  • you have excellent presentation skills and can produce beautiful design and drawings, especially good hand-drawing skills and ability to quickly sketch out architectural concepts
  • you have experience of working on planning applications and understand building regulations on residential projects in the UK
  • you understand how buildings are put together, can communicate that technically and can produce clear packages of drawings and specifications for tender/construction
  • you have worked through all RIBA Stages on domestic scale residential projects for at least three years’ as a project architect or as an architectural assistant
  • you can demonstrate leadership skills and capability of dealing calmly with the various challenge’s projects present throughout their duration
  • excellent model-making and rendering experience and can produce high-quality presentations would be appreciated
  • you can show an understanding of the economic constraints on domestic projects and have experience of financial analysis of building costs during the design and tender stages of a project
  • you are capable of using your initiative to find solutions to challenging issues in a pro-active manner
  • you can work in an amicable professional manner with all consultants fostering respect for the design process and demonstrating leadership
  • you are capable of juggling a few projects at various scales and stages and can take ownership of charting a project’s direction
  • you have a clear passion and love for creating well designed and beautifully detailed homes for private clients
