About the role
As our interior designer you will work in close collaboration with our real estate and partnership teams, brand and operations. As we plan to launch multiple indoor gyms across different verticals (HIIT, strength, ride, boxing, running, rowing, etc.) you will conceptualise the design of our gyms, both, on a conceptual level by defining design strategies and concepts, as-well-as during the actual implementation in new spaces we acquire.
We plan ten plus new gyms in Berlin over the next six months, plus more locations as a result of our expansion in 2020 across Germany and Europe. You will also be involved in the procurement process and support us in finding creative solutions to bring Beat81 quality to each new and existing locations.
Responsibilities:
- plan and design projects in conjunction with the real estate department
- close collaboration with brand, product and operations on creating our customer experience
- conceptual development of our gym design guidelines and outfitting process across multiple verticals (HIIT, ride, boxing, running, rowing, etc.)
- manage the construction and execution of projects interacting with construction teams, bauamt and inspectors
- build the bridge between our mid-term design visions and the actual implementation of our concepts at the same time
- work with internal and external creative teams to review concepts and provide feedback
Desired skills, personality traits and experience:
- degree in interior design or architecture
- expertise across design disciplines such as interior design, architecture and space planning
- track record of designing and building interiors for safety, functionality and aesthetics
- an understanding of our customers, product and brand
- effective communication skills in English and German
- some experience in construction supervision
- professional knowledge of AutoCAD or similar
- high creative and organisational skills
