AfroditiKrassa has an opportunity for a mid-weight hospitality interior designer in London.
AfroditiKrassa is growing with new projects internationally and is looking for an experienced mid-weight hospitality interior designer to join the team and work on highly creative restaurant, bar, hotel and cinema projects.
About us
AfroditiKrassa is the interior and brand-design studio behind some of the most iconic hospitality projects of the past decade; from dining phenomenon Dishoom, to the nation’s latest staple dietitsu, Heston Blumenthal’s The Perfectionists’ Café and the reinvention of Curzon Cinemas. We work with the industry’s luminaires and current clients include celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay and ultra-luxury hotel operator Rosewood Hotels.
The role
Our studio has created a strong reputation for highly creative and meticulously detailed interiors and we are looking to expand our close-knit team with an ambitious interior designer. The ideal candidate must be able to work on projects from beginning to end, lead creatively, understand materials, sourcing, manufacturing and production and have an immaculate eye for detail. You would have the ability to come up with overarching creative directions, develop and deliver interior design schemes of the highest quality; with a strong focus on client liaison, design development and site implementation.
What we are looking for:
- enthusiastic, ambitious and meticulous mid-weight interior designer
- proactively work from concept creation through to detailed design drawing package
- strong creative contextualisation with an ability to craft original narratives
- join internal discussions and in-client meetings to develop presentation skills
- able to represent the studio, support internal teams and contribute to our high professional standards and reputation
Skills and qualifications:
- degree in interior, retail, spatial design (or similar relevant qualification)
- three+ years of experience within hospitality, F&B and food retail
- excellent CAD skills (Vectorworks is a must) and Adobe Creative Suite
- experience in FF&E, sourcing, coordination and scheduling
- must have the ability to produce detailed drawing packages
- an excellent understanding of joinery construction, materials, ability to coordinate, liaise with contractors and red-mark construction drawings
- good understanding of working around various schedules, deadlines, and budgets
- strong creative portfolio with a variety of client exposure
- excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
