HTA Design has an opening for a senior architect to join its team in London.
HTA Design is an award-winning multi-disciplinary design partnership of specialist teams working collaboratively in architecture, urban design, landscape architecture, interior design, graphic design and communications, sustainability and planning. Our focus is on creating great residential places – we have a 50-year track record of the design and delivery of better housing.
The senior architect will be responsible for project delivery and should have extensive demonstrable experience of pre and post-planning stage projects. You will also have experience in the design of mixed tenure housing and refurbishment, as well as a passion for delivering more ‘distinctively local’ places across the UK.
Contract: permanent
Salary: competitive
To be considered, the successful candidate will have:
- a passion for working with communities to create sustainable places to live
- extensive experience of UK urban and/or suburban housing design and master planning
- strong design skills and attention to detail
- excellent technical ability, with experience of careful refurbishment and remodelling of existing housing
- client and team-focused – strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain good collaborative internal and external working relationships
- excellent people and project management skills with the ability to motivate, coach and mentor others
- a calm disposition with the ability to prioritise, organise, work under pressure and to meet project deadlines
- ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- detailed knowledge of UK residential design standards and statutory requirements with evidence of their application over several projects
- first-class AutoCAD and Revit skills and experience using SketchUp, Illustrator and InDesign
- ARB registered
