Paolo Moschino for Nicholas Haslam has an opportunity for a purchasing/logistics assistant to join its administrative team in London.
Nicholas Haslam is an award-winning design studio creating exceptional residential and hospitality interiors around the world, as well as a celebrated, go-to shopping source for elegant design infused with a continental flair. The firm’s London showrooms offer a sophisticated range of furnishings from fabrics and wallpapers to furniture, lighting, decorative accessories and vintage and antique pieces, while an international network of agents and stockists represent its signature Paolo Moschino Collection, produced in collaboration with the world’s finest artisans.
The purchasing and logistics assistant will work closely with and support the purchasing manager in all administrative activities to support each area of the business.
They will be responsible:
- for planning and coordination of both import and export shipments
- for scheduling of staff and orchestrating deliveries to meet customer requirements
- for monitoring product stock levels and identifying purchasing requirements
- for obtaining the most competitive quotes from suppliers and logistic companies
- for following up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders
- for maintaining appropriate filing of logistics and shipping documents
The ideal candidate will be well-presented and approachable. Whilst an interest in the industry is encouraged it is not a pre-requisite for this administrative role. They will have strong organisational skills, excellent administrative skills and an ability to work to deadlines. Knowledge of Microsoft Office is imperative alongside an ability to learn on the job and build an understanding of the company’s working culture.
