Studio LBA is hiring a Part 2 graduate to join its practice in Kinross or Edinburgh, Scotland.

We’re searching for a talented Part 2 graduate with exceptional design skills and an enthusiasm to learn. The role would primarily involve assisting in the delivery of varying scales of residential and commercial projects. We are dedicated to ensuring Part 2s are immersed in and supported through all stages of a project to gain the best experience for the Part 3 exam. We are looking to welcome our new team member at the end of the student term in May/June.

Note that this role would primarily be based in our new Kinross office (opening 2020), but would be well connected to our Edinburgh base.

  • proactive and organised, with excellent record-keeping
  • 3D whizz (or on your way to being one!) – ideally in ArchiCAD
  • exceptional presentation skills
  • someone who shares our team values

Note that this role will involve local travel and a driving licence will be required.

What’s in it for you:

  • relaxed and friendly team who love to socialise
  • lots of input in design and the running of the office
  • support in professional and personal development
  • half-day Friday
  • dedicated Part 3 mentoring and APEAS fees paid
  • competitive salary
  • performance-based bonus
  • up to 7% employer pension contribution
  • group life cover

What’s it like to work at LBA?

We hold high standards and work in a way that means our clients love dealing with us and colleagues love working here. Our practice is thoughtfully balanced with a low turnover of staff.

We foster a unique company culture championing work-life balance, self-empowerment, personal development and mutual support. Not only do we want you to grow into this role, but we want this role to grow with you. Although we have a fair idea of the talents we’re looking for, we love to utilise our team’s unique skills that may not necessarily fall under their formal job title.

We don’t believe in classical management hierarchies and, instead, distribute authority among all colleagues. Regardless of experience, our team are supported in their creative ideas and we actively encourage input from all.

Our office has been growing since its inception eight years ago, and as we prepare for the opening of our second studio in Kinross, we hope to find someone as excited as we are to join us on our journey. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing and progressive design studio with a huge focus on job satisfaction, and in return for your hard work we will invest in you.
