Latitude Architects is hiring architects or Part 2 architectural assistants to join its team in London.

Latitude Architects is looking for enthusiastic and talented architects or Part 2 architectural assistants to join its growing studio in Borough, London.

Latitude is a design-led architectural practice with an established portfolio across the UK, with particular experience in the residential and hospitality sectors. We currently have an exciting pipeline of medium to large-scale projects across central London, with opportunities to contribute from design development through to construction.

The opportunity

The successful candidate will work as part of a team across a range of project types, scales and RIBA work stages, developing both design and technical experience.

The role will involve design development, presentations, drawing and model production, technical coordination and the preparation of information for planning and construction. We are looking for someone who is proactive, well organised and able to take responsibility for their work, while working effectively both collaboratively and independently.

Requirements:

• a passion for good design, with strong design, graphic and presentation skills
• an understanding of construction methods, materials and detailing, with the ability to develop technical information as projects progress
• working knowledge of UK Building Regulations and the UK planning system
• experience across relevant RIBA work stages, from concept and planning through to technical design and construction, would be beneficial
• proficiency in Vectorworks, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp and Enscape is preferred but not essential
• professional experience working within a MacOS environment is desirable but not essential
• excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting ideas and information
• good time management, organisation and attention to detail
