About the Institute for Creativity and Innovation
The Institute for Creativity and Innovation will be a fully- integrated campus of Xiamen University, with a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. UCA will deliver at least 40 per cent of the teaching and will manage the quality assurance process to ensure that the courses adhere to UK Higher Education standards. The partnership will be launched in September 2020.
The role: teaching assistant in interior architecture and design
Salary: £26,243 – £29,515, plus accommodation and benefits
The University for the Creative Arts is seeking a talented educator to support teaching and learning in interior architecture and design (interior and spatial design) at the Institute of Creativity and Innovation in Xiamen, China, which we are launching in partnership with Xiamen University.
The teaching assistant will have a deep understanding of the discipline, along with the passion and enthusiasm required to engage students. You will be able to demonstrate your specialist knowledge through a strong creative portfolio and will ideally hold a postgraduate qualification.
Based in Xiamen, a temperate coastal city in the south of China with a sizeable expat population, the role comes with free accommodation, private medical insurance and a personal travel allowance.
Priority will be given to applicants with experience of working in the UK, or other countries where courses are taught in English.
Candidates must be able to meet the Chinese visa requirements which are available here. UCA will assist with obtaining visa.
