Hugh Leslie Design is seeking an architectural designer to join its practice in London.
Hugh Leslie Design is looking for an experienced Part 1/2 architectural designer with a minimum three years’ working experience with excellent written and spoken English a must to join the team in London.
We specialise in high end residential projects in London, the countryside and abroad. Working primarily in the private residential sector, we are experts in refurbishments, extensions, conversions, and thoughtful renovations. We are a small, long established design-oriented practice based in Chelsea, working closely with domestic clients to design, decorate and build their homes. We design and manage projects through all stages from conception, design development and full drawing packages, planning, detailed working drawings, site supervision and installation of furniture and furnishings.
We are looking for a talented and ambitious Part 1/2 architectural designer who’s design-minded, has excellent hand drawing/sketching and AutoCAD ability skills for design, presentation and implementation.
Main skills/qualifications:
- Part 1/2 RIBA qualified
- hand drawing/sketching
- AutoCAD
- SketchUp or other 3D software
- Photoshop
Experience:
- working on private residential projects
- production of concept design drawings and presentation images
- producing full drawing packages including specifications, schedules and detailed drawings for construction
- experience in preparing and submitting planning applications
- experience in designing and preparing detailed drawings for kitchens, bathrooms, joinery and furniture
You will be working closely with the lead designer and the team through all stages. Good communication skills are a must for liaising with clients, contractors and suppliers.
