London, UK
Junior architectural technologist
at TPM Studio

TPM Studio is looking for a junior architectural technologist to join its London studio.

The role offers the opportunity to contribute to a range of new-build and retrofit projects across the workplace, residential, education, and hospitality sectors. You’ll be part of a creative, design-led team that values thoughtful architecture, environmental responsibility, and a client-focused approach.

This position is suited to someone keen to develop their technical expertise within live projects — contributing to detailed design, coordination, and documentation from early concept through to construction — while gaining experience across all RIBA work stages in a supportive studio environment.

What we’re looking for:

  • a degree in architectural technology with ACIAT membership, or a clear intention to work towards CIAT accreditation
  • ideally one to two years’ experience working in practice on UK-based projects
  • strong technical and detailing skills, with an understanding of construction methods and materials
  • working knowledge of UK Building Regulations, planning processes, and technical standards
  • proficiency in Vectorworks; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and Enscape an advantage
  • ability to prepare and coordinate detailed drawing packages accurately and efficiently
  • a methodical and quality-focused approach, with good attention to detail
  • confidence to assist with site coordination, including reviews and inspections
  • organised, proactive, and adaptable, able to manage tasks and meet deadlines
  • strong communication skills and confidence working with clients, consultants, and the wider design team
  • a positive and collaborative attitude, with enthusiasm for practical, progressive design solutions
  • motivated and responsible, with a genuine interest in learning and professional development

What we offer:

  • competitive salary, based on experience
  • supportive studio culture focused on design quality, sustainability, and teamwork
  • structured mentorship and development framework with guidance toward CIAT chartership
  • opportunities for ongoing training, CPD, and professional growth
  • regular studio socials and team events
