Office administrator
at PAD Architects
PAD Architects is seeking an office administrator to join its team in London.
We are a small, friendly architectural practice in Putney and our portfolio includes contemporary private homes and developer residential developments. After five years with the company, our current practice manager is moving on and we are seeking someone to take on the role on a part time basis.
The role is very varied but includes:
- submission of planning applications (including the writing of design and access statements)
- updating PAD’s profile on our website and on all social media platforms
- coordinating drawing issues for each project
- updating a ‘jobs list’ and keeping on top of what stage every project is at and what work needs doing week by week
- overseeing timelines for projects from initial enquiry through to planning through to completion on site
- assisting with project contract administration.
- managing and liaising with consultants for projects including requesting quotes for services and completing all the required paperwork to engage the consultant for the project
- dealing with all new enquiries
- all the day to day tasks of running an office: ordering stationary, filing, keeping workspaces clear etc.
Person specification
- experience of administration, preferably in a small company working across projects
- knowledge of the architecture sector, particularly the RIBA stages of work
- confident at working independently, managing tasks and deadlines
- good knowledge of social media: Facebook/Twitter/Instagram and the ability to write strong copy for the website
- highly proficient at Microsoft Word and Excel
- ability to manage a varied workload and highly organised
- excellent grammar and attention to detail
- approachable and friendly
We are happy to receive applicants from Part 1 architecture graduates however please note the majority of the role will be admin based.
As the administrator you will be the first port of call for anyone visiting/phoning the office so it is imperative you are able to commute to the Putney office to work there. Due to Covid-19 the role is currently working from home.
We envisage this role to be three days a week. This is a self-employed position to start as soon as possible.
Please send your CV and a brief cover letter highlighting relevant experience by clicking the ‘apply’ link below.
The deadline for applications is Monday 16th November at 6pm but we will be reviewing emails as they come in. We will be conducting interviews w/c 16th November.
