Design leader

HTA Design is seeking an experienced design leader to join its London Studio.
HTA Design is an award-winning multidisciplinary design partnership of specialist teams working collaboratively in architecture, landscape architecture, communications, sustainability and planning.
We aim to design places where people will want to live. We want to create beautiful, uplifting and technically refined homes set in biodiverse environments. Our approach is collaborative, and the role of the Design Leader will be to work with the project teams to develop design concepts and see them through, whilst achieving the highest design standards.
You will be responsible for championing the design concept, adapting and refining our work in a way that will meet or exceed both client expectations and the aspirations of the practice in terms of achieving high quality outputs.
To be considered for this role, the successful candidate will have:
- ARB registration
- a proven track record of leading architectural design teams and delivering high quality design outputs that meet or exceed expectations
- extensive experience of UK urban and/or suburban housing design and master planning
- a passion for working with communities to create sustainable places to live
- confident drawing ability and excellent command of the wide range of software typically required to illustrate, visualise and present ideas and proposals
- strong knowledge of design process and project management
- strong attention to detail and accuracy with exceptional design skills and detail orientation
- strong organisational skills and ability to calmly manage multiple projects and deliver to tight deadlines
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong collaborative internal and external working relationships
- excellent people management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach and mentor others
Contract: permanent
Salary: competitive
