Project architect/architectural technologist
at Studio Rowe
Studio Rowe is seeking a project architect or architectural technologist to join its London or Norwich team, remotely.
We will favour applicants who live near our offices in London or Norwich and will also consider part-time and freelance applicants.
We are a young and fast-growing studio, working on projects across the UK in residential, commercial and hospitality sectors. We work from studios in Norwich, London and Cyprus. Each project is unique but always built on a design-led process with strong client dialogues.
This is a great opportunity for a talented and driven individual to join a small team as it grows and become integral to the delivery of many exciting projects.
Experience and role
Any applicant will have at least three years’ qualified UK experience, with a strong knowledge of construction methods, detailing and building regulations. An appreciation for the design process is essential, as well as enthusiasm for high-quality detailing.
You will ultimately be expected to lead a number of UK based projects and will need to be comfortable handling direct client communication, with a demonstrable understanding of the construction process.
Essential skills:
- you must be eligible to work in the UK
- excellent communication and confidence in dealing with clients
- strong understanding of construction methods and detailing
- knowledge of NBS and writing specification
- good understanding of building regulations and relevant legislation
- experience across all RIBA work stages, sufficient to steer a project through the construction process
- intuition and appreciation for high-quality design
- experience in ArchiCAD and an understanding of the BIM process
- Microsoft 365 suite
