Vaarnii is seeking a freelance PR professional to join its team in London.
Vaarnii is a new furniture and lifestyle design company with a uniquely Finnish perspective. The brand will launch its inaugural range of furniture and accessories – objects made entirely from Finnish pine – this spring at a physical exhibition in Helsinki and online. The brand will launch internationally in September in London and across Europe. The brand is already set to be one of the exciting design stories of 2021.
Vaarnii is looking for an experienced freelance PR professional to assist with the global launch of the brand and to foster an ongoing relationship with the brand and the international media.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a proven track record as an experienced PR professional working on interiors or lifestyle brands either in house or within an agency. The successful candidate with have an established network and be able to put together and deliver a clear focused campaign for the UK market. Ideally this person will have experience working with an international press network and be able to deliver the global PR campaign for the brand. This role requires impeccable writing and editing skills, as well as the ability to quickly turn around written materials including strategies, press releases etc.
Responsibilities:
- ability to create a comprehensive PR strategy
- write and produce campaign strategies and press releases
- provide day to day updates
- results driven approach
- ability to pitch both features as well as product placement
- clear communicator, able to drive collaborations with other brands to generate features
- generate feature placements across print and digital outlets
- develop pitch ideas, pitch press and secure media coverage
Experience desired:
- three to five years public relations experience
- quick and precise writer and editor
- confident speaker and presenter; can hold the attention of a room (or Zoom) and provide counsel for executive-level clients
- curious and informed reader with a deep interest in news, trends, and events in the tech, design, arts, or culture space
- self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment
- can-do attitude–no job is too big or too small
Salary negotiable depending upon experience.
