Mid-weight interior designer

Morph Interior is looking for a mid-weight interior designer to join its practice in London.
We are an award-winning studio mainly working on residential projects in London. We are looking for a multi-skilled, creative and experienced interior designer to join our team.
Morph is looking for someone who is proactive, organised and detail driven in order to work across multiple projects. You will be expected to put together schemes, presentations and work within deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communications are essential, in order to liaise between multiple parties; including clients, contractors and suppliers. This position is for a qualified, confident designer, with over three years of experience in high-end interior projects.
Experience in formatting and producing CAD drawing packages is essential as well as a good knowledge of FF&E as you will be involved in producing schedules and orders. Strong ability in putting together finishes and material schedules is also required.
The successful candidate will be happy to help with the day-to-day operations of a design studio.
Skills and qualifications required:
- fluency in written and spoken English
- a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in interior design or related field
- proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; experience in drawing tender packages including architectural details, joinery and furniture
- confident using InDesign, Photoshop, SketchUp and Microsoft Office
- an eye for design, colours and textures – be able to bring all elements together to create mood/sample boards
- comprehensive knowledge of UK suppliers and able to specify FF&E for projects
- excellent time management and organisational skills between projects
- strong communication skills, both written and verbal and be confident liaise with all involved part
Responsibilities:
- sourcing and specifying products and materials according to set budgets and within clients brief and expectations
- creating mood/sample boards to be presented to the client during meetings for better visualisation of the space
- collate all design aspects into one design document for client visualisation and aid for sign off
- researching and gathering information required in relation to projects
- preparing detailed drawing packages ready for site
- ordering products to be delivered to site in line with the contractors work to avoid any delays
Salary £24-28k depending on experience.
