Victoria Holland Architecture is seeking an interior designer to join its team in Arundel, UK.
Victoria Holland Architecture is a small team of award-winning architects, designers and interior designers who specialise in the design and delivery of bespoke residential projects across the South Coast. We combine our expertise to achieve both excellence in design and to provide notable architecture and interior design. We enjoy working closely as a team with specialist contractors, craftsman and artisans in order to deliver properties of distinction. At the core of our practice is the intent to bring joy to families, and to enhance the architecture within which they live.
What we’re looking for:
- someone who demonstrates, through every aspect of who they are, a passionate love of design and art
- Someone who will work alongside our architectural team to provide support on numerous and varied FF&E and construction projects
- a loyal and dynamic person who can demonstrate confidence with clients, suppliers and project teams
- a proactive nature, with great instincts, while remaining open to feedback
The ideal candidate must have:
- a degree or equivalent in interior design/interior architecture
- at least four years’ post-graduate experience in the luxury residential sector, or similar
- full proficiency using Autocad and Microsoft Office Suite
- demonstrable experience working on all Stages of a project from Stage 1 Concept, to Stage 5 Completion on Site, working directly with both clients, contractors, and other professionals
- ownership for the project timetable and interior design budget
- supplier and product knowledge, including FF&E and finishes
- experience in custom joinery, furniture, lighting and fixed finishes as part of producing technical packages and detailed drawings
- highest standard of technical ability
- broad knowledge of materiality
- fluent in spoken and written English
- impeccable and concise communication
- an exceptional eye for detail, colour, and knowledge of a spectrum of design styles
- a knowledge of historic property and an appreciation for artisanal construction techniques and materials used throughout the UK
