Design 2 Finish is seeking a construction project manager to join its team in London.
Job description
We are seeking a first-class construction project manager to join our team, with UK residential construction experience and a proven ability to run multi-site projects .
You must have previous project management experience with a main contractor within the residential sector, along with the ability to provide confident leadership, especially from a commercial, design, construction and health and safety perspective.
You must have experience of managing JCT contracts, preferably design and build, including subcontractors and consultants. We are looking for someone with excellent management skills and who can drive the site team to a strict programme plans, to time and budget.
The role will include:
- working closely with all direct operatives and sub-contractors, ensuring that planned works are completed on time whilst minimising disruption to residents and the public
- managing the day-to-day work on site, ensuring that workers adhere to construction plans and safety targets
- identify materials, workforce, tools etc. needed for the project phases and arrange purchases and deliveries accordingly
- timely support and advice in the selection of finishes that require the customers’ involvement so that ordering and delivery won’t create disruption and delays
- deal with sub-contractors and suppliers to solve and unblock any issue related to delays, amendment of orders and other delivery issues
- ensuring that the works are constructed in accordance with the client and company’s requirements
Skills expected from you:
- English language proficiency
- previous experience managing RC frame and traditional build as a site manager or project manager on residential projects under JCT contracts, especially design and build
- ability to communicate effectively across all levels
- a strong work ethic allowing you to deliver upon your deadlines
- proven track record on construction projects from start to finish
- able to handle politics
- good IT knowledge – Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams etc.

Requirements:
- minimum five years of professional experience in the UK
- construction, building, project management
- proven experience driving multi-site projects
- charismatic, highly social, creative, independent with
- experience managing key relationships at a senior level
