Proposal coordinator
at Field Operations

James Corner Field Operations is seeking an organized, enthusiastic and articulate proposal coordinator in its New York office.

We are a leading-edge landscape architecture and urban design practice based in New York City, a creative, ideas-driven practice with a high-energy and collaborative design studio environment.

Responsibilities include responding to inquiries for new business and projects, coordinating proposals and submissions, preparing graphic layouts, and following up with potential clients. The position involves close coordination with principals and others in the office, and involves a good eye for design and clarity in communication and organization.

The ideal candidate has:

  • familiarity with the field of landscape architecture, urban design, and/or architecture
  • excellent writing skills
  • effective communicator
  • strong organization and time management habits
  • a friendly demeanor and strong collaborative skills
  • an eye for details, an efficient working process, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • the ability to work independently when needed and set internal/personal deadlines in working toward a larger goal
  • graphic design skills and a good eye for strong image selection

Requirements:

  • strong command of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • excellent English language skills, additional languages are advantageous
  • at least a Bachelor’s degree in architecture, landscape architecture, urban design, graphic design, planning, communications, or equivalent is strongly recommended
  • minimum one-year experience in a business development, graphics, marketing, or design-related position
  • understanding of graphic layouts, excel spreadsheets, design scopes, building teams, contracts and clear written language is advantageous
