In-house architectural coordinator
at Big Mamma Group

Big Mamma Group is seeking an in-house architectural coordinator to join its team in London.

In-house technical coordination role for the Big Mamma Restaurant Group, who currently trade 14 restaurants across France, Spain, and the UK with the view of growing to over 50 over the next five years throughout the EU. Formats include 500 – 800 sqm flagship Trattorias, as well as smaller 50-150 sqm restaurants.

Profile:

  • entrepreneurial, proactive, self-driven, and commercially-minded
  • RIBA Part 2 or equivalent, with circa 2 years relevant experience
  • strong portfolio demonstrating space planning skills and technical coordination experience
  • proactively identifies risks and flag accordingly
  • high level of attention to detail, adhering to drawing standards and filing structures
  • ability to gather, interpret, and incorporate consultant input and identify any potential lapses in coordination
  • ability to work on projects at multiple scales and varying degrees of complexity, often several at once
  • strong AutoCAD literacy. 3D competencies (e.g. Rhino / Sketchup) are a plus
  • ability to communicate in French, Spanish, or German a plus
  • enthusiastic about working client-side, and ready to join a fun, fast-paced, and rewarding work environment

Role:

  • assisting the acquisitions and project team to determine the technical suitability of prospective sites in the UK and EU
  • collating and processing drawings supplied by landlords and third parties
  • ensuring drawings are accurate and clear and identifying any lapses in coordination
  • working with operators to ensure kitchen and bars layouts are in line with BMG standards
  • assisting the project team with preparation of base drawings, compiling consultant input, aligning front of house and back of house design
