Hobson’s Choice seeks a junior kitchen and bathroom designer to join its showroom team in Bath, UK.

Would you like to begin your career with the longest-standing independent retailer of bulthaup kitchens in the UK? A company focused on delivering exceptional projects at the highest-end of the market? Our designers are specialists in the luxury end of the market, using their in-depth knowledge of the product, interior space-planning, and ergonomics to create exciting schemes that add functionality, style, and value to a property.
Working from our Bath showroom, our successful junior designer will join a company that has been designing and installing the highest quality products in properties across the south of England and Wales for over 40 years.
Our successful candidate will be ambitious, focussed, committed and motivated. They will have a hunger to build upon their skill set, learn from our design team, and gain a broader understanding of the business. We look forward to welcoming the junior designer into an incredibly supportive, professional design team, which will help them progress with their career. In this environment, they will gain the knowledge, experience and skills to eventually become a well-rounded member of the senior design team.
The role:
- meet and greet visitors, talking to them about their project and introducing our services
- communicate with clients, suppliers and contractors
- arrange appointments
- assist and support senior designers with client projects
- support other areas of the business including marketing
The requirements:
- degree in interior design or architecture
- software – MS Office/CAD/customer relationship management (CRM) system
- a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
The offer:
- salary from £20,000 up to £25,000 (based on experience and competency)
- hours – 08:30 – 5:30 pm Mon – Fri /10 – 5 pm Sat (40 hours, five-day week)
- designers are expected to work two in every three Saturday’s. Day off in the week for Saturday
- 25 days holiday and bank holidays
- continual personal development with regular in-house and supplier training opportunities
