Brooks Murray Architects is seeking a Part 3 architect to join its team in London.

A successful architectural and masterplanning practice that is looking for a qualified Part 3 architect to join the team. We specialise in projects at every scale, from building new communities throughout the UK to the conservation of historic buildings, commercial refurbishments and the restoration of high-end residences.

The candidate must have at least two years’ experience within an architectural practice post-Part 3 qualification.

In addition, the candidate needs:

• the ability to work proactively in a small team with good written and oral communication skills
• have excellent organisation skills, and able to plan and manage their own workload
• be able to demonstrate a good commercial awareness
• must be flexible and be eager to learn and develop fast

Qualifications and experience:

• thorough understanding of UK planning policies and UK building regulations
• experience working on residential projects
• proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit
• experience completing technical detail drawings as well as early design stage drawings
• ability to produce construction documentation
• UK office experience

Primary role and responsibilities:

• preparing and developing planning, technical, production information and full RIBA stages 1-6
• controlling projects from start to finish to ensure high quality, innovative and functional design with minimum supervision
• coordinate our architectural information with design team consultants including structural engineer, party wall surveyor, M&E, heritage and sustainability etc consultants, including technically reviewing drawings by other consultants
• liaise successfully with local authorities including planning officers and approved building control inspectors
• site supervision and contract administration including issuing interim certificates and valuations
• help the associates prepare and develop specifications and tender documents
