Interior designer/architectural assistant
spacelab_ is seeking an interior designer/architectural assistant to join its team in London.
spacelab_ are an exploratory architectural design studio. We are looking for an interior designer assistant to join us on a full time permanent basis to work on a range of prestigious and exciting interior commercial projects.
Experience and skills:
- interior design/architecture degree, spatial design/a recognised RIBA Part-2 or a minimum of two years’ experience in the design field
- a strong academic and career record
- ability to manage varied tasks and workload
- an awareness of basic space planning requirements
- confident to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- a passion for design and user focused design
- demonstrate good creative problem solving
- good communication skills
- fluent in English, verbal and written
- proficient using Revit, schematic renders and presentation visualisations
- ability to use the Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
Key responsibilities:
- working with senior team members to prepare and convey concept ideas and visually effective presentation material
- creation of plans and 3D information from Revit and Enscape
- working with directors and the design team to create graphically consistent materials for client presentation at key design stages
- assist in the preparation of technical drawings and information for tenders and construction
- liaising with suppliers and clients to develop specifications and finishes
