Yapiarti is seeking a project manager to join its team in London.
Project manager/construction
We are currently recruiting a project manager position to join the team at a hotel interior fit-out project in Shoreditch, London. The successful candidate will have a regular liaison between the client, design team, contractors, engineers, building control, and other professionals. Strong communication skills, profound knowledge about hospitality buildings, and attention to detail are essentials for this role.
Core responsibilities:
- responsible for overseeing construction engineering, planning, and design for design standards
- provide technical direction within engineering design, building design, layouts, build details, schedules, and materials
- provide reports, specifications, technical analysis to fully define the design requirements, equipment, and services required
- survey facilities, develop and document a procedure to audit the facility, provide evaluations and analysis, and recommend solutions to facility infrastructure, safety, and security problems involving facilities and people
- ensure that vendor contracts are fit for purpose, cost-effective, and incorporate appropriate service level agreements
- provide overall site management, coordination, planning, specification of business proposals, and coordination of subcontractors
- coach and guide all project teams throughout the full project lifecycle
- ensure that contracted resources deliver work to meet duration and quality targets, addressing and ensuring the correction of under-performance issues
- inform contractors of projected changes in resource or work demand so that they can take appropriate action
Qualifications and skills:
- completed bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or comparable field
- proven experience as an engineer and senior construction manager
- project management experience from the design phase through implementation and operation
- CSCS card
- SMSTS certificate
