Design and production manager

Bespoke Barware is looking for a design and production manager to join its team in London.
We’re a highly creative barware manufacturer in London and we’re looking for a design and production manager to help develop and produce a wide range of products for our clients and for our own catalogue.
The right candidate will be relied upon to take creative concepts and make them a physical and practical reality. You should be capable of managing multiple projects at one time, have a broad knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes and be able to communicate effectively with the team, the suppliers and our clients.
You should have a minimum of three years’ experience and be a self-starter who can multitask and make sure all products are delivered on time and to budget.
Skills and experience:
- minimum three years’ experience in a relevant sector
- excellent organisational skills and project management, high attention to detail and consistent follow-through
- knowledge of a wide variety of manufacturing processes, materials and prototyping practices
- experience of sourcing components and parts and liaising with suppliers and manufacturers
- able to communicate clearly and warmly with our workshops
- excellent multitasking and time-management skills to ensure delivery of projects to time
- a good understanding of creative and technical design and the ability to sketch and present ideas
- ability to produce clear and informative sketches, visualisations, production drawings and specification documents. CAD and 3D design software experience ideal
- have a keen understanding of how to price the manufacture and delivery of the jobs
- outstanding written and oral communication skills to liaise successfully with factories, workshops, suppliers, colleagues and clients
- be adaptable and open-minded and have the energy and flexibility to work in the hectic world of a growing business
- an interest in new technologies and trends and the interest to develop that knowledge within the bar/catering sector
- confident with numbers and be able to price jobs effectively
- graphic design tasks will also be a part of this role – editing photos and producing graphics for our website and social media
- Excel, Microsoft Office, Photoshop and Illustrator skills plus CAD and 3D design software
Salary from £25,000, depending on experience
