Gainsbury & Whiting, a bespoke creative agency with expertise in the fashion and luxury brand industries is seeking a production designer to join their team in London.
Employment: short contract
Limited project period: six months (with a view to extending)
Deadline: 19 July 2021
As a production designer you will be working alongside the inhouse design team and creative director, working collaboratively on a range of projects including; fashion shows, product launches, events and immersive concept based activity for clients such as Alexander McQueen, Apple, Bottega Veneta, Burberry, Wales Bonner, H&M and more. You will be involved from the initial client brief following into ideation phase, team and client brainstorming, materiality development, design, fabrication/production management and delivery. Deliverables will include; referencing, proof of design developments, 3D renders, plans, material sampling.
Drawing on a strong background of spatial/production design the follow skills and knowledge are a must:
- AutoCAD, 3ds Max, Cinema 4D, Adobe Creative Suite at a minimum
- able to understand complex briefs and confident to work under pressure both as a part of a team and independently
- able to juggle multiple deadlines and streams of communication.
- excellent organisational and communication skills
- the ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years’ experience and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
- English speaking to a fluent level is key and further languages a plus
An interest in art, design, sustainability and inclusivity in spatial design would be of great benefit.
