About CSK

CSK Architects is an award-winning design studio shortlisted for the Stirling Prize in 2019 with Cork House, winner of the Stephen Lawrence Prize and Manser Medal for House of the Year. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing practice with exciting aspirations and prospects for the future.

Our over-riding ethos is rooted in the process of craft, alongside the scrutiny of material provenance and embodied carbon, in order to create truly sustainable architecture. A building that is carefully considered, crafted and then valued for generations to come is the sincerest form of ecological design.

With an increasing portfolio of exciting projects ongoing, we are looking for energetic and creative designers to join our diverse team. We are a relatively small practice, which has the benefit of allowing all our architects experience across the RIBA Works Stages from inception through to completion on site. We have a great studio space on Eton High Street with easy rail access to London Paddington from Slough in just 20 minutes and direct from Eton Riverside to Waterloo, also serving Twickenham, Putney and Vauxhall.

Required skills and experience:

  • RIBA part 3 (or equivalent qualification)
  • three to five years post-Part 3 experience (preferable but not essential – if you feel you are a good fit for the practice please apply as a newly qualified Part 3)
  • experience of RIBA stages 4 and 5 preferable (working in the UK) – acting as CA under JCT contracts
  • strong design and detailing skills
  • strong visual communication skills
  • experience of UK regulatory framework including building regulations and CDM
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills

The application should include:

  • a brief cover letter/email setting out the reason why you want to work for us and notice period (if applicable)
  • CV
  • a sample portfolio as a pdf attachment, ideally less than 10MB

If you are interested in joining us, please submit the ‘apply for a job’ button below.

Whilst all the listed skills and experience are preferential, we place a great amount of importance on an individual’s particular talent and skill set. If successful, you will be invited to an interview with the directors. It is just as important to us that you fit in well with the team and therefore, the interview is a crucial element of the employment process. This is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about us.

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, but unfortunately, we are unable to accept international applicants. Therefore, the role is only available to UK/EU/EEA nationals or those that have lived and have had a right to work in the UK for 3 years or more. CSK Architects is an equal opportunities employer.
