Design Nonprofit Organization is hiring a social media manager to join its team in San Francisco, USA.

We are a new Bay Area nonprofit organization dedicated to design. We are seeking a curious problem-solver with a deep understanding for online culture and passion for community building. As social media manager you will represent our brand and oversee our organization’s presence across a variety of digital platforms, develop and implement robust content strategies and campaigns in partnership with our marketing and design teams, and build a deeply engaged community in support of our vision and mission.

As the social media manager, you will:

  • actively manage and monitor the organization’s social media channels
  • develop and implement overall social media strategy (and the individual channel strategies to fulfill it)
  • develop and implement a robust ongoing social media calendar based on marketing and communications goals
  • share channel expertise with the organization (research of trends and current best practices) and collaborate with brand, marketing, and design teams to develop unique campaigns and programs
  • maintain brand voice and design standards throughout all social media channels
  • interact with followers and other stakeholders via the company’s social media accounts
  • set goals for social media posts and campaigns, such as targets for engagement, and measure and monitor performance against those goals
  • redirect the organization and workflow as needed based on feedback and analysis

You may have:

  • bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in communications, design, or another relevant field
  • five to seven years experience working with multiple social media platforms or in related fields such as editorial or digital agency
  • strong analytical, organization, time management and process management skills
  • excellent visual and verbal communication skills, a clear understanding of brand voice and design standards
  • ability to partner and collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams
  • comfort with ambiguity and the ability to thrive working in a fast-paced environment
