Part 2 architectural assistant
at Studio Octopi
Studio Octopi is currently interviewing for a Part 2 architectural assistant to join its team in London.
The successful candidate will have excellent technical, communication and organisational skills, and have a proven track record of working on a broad spectrum of projects. Candidates must be able to demonstrate in their application experience with feasibility studies, concept design, planning applications and experience in working towards detail design on existing buildings and structures. An eye for detail, self-motivation and excellent graphic skills are essential.
Studio Octopi work closely with private residential clients, but also in the retail and commercial sectors. A passion and enthusiasm for working with heritage and listed structure is critical. The practice is also working with various clients on water-based projects across the UK.
Essential skills and experience include:
- visualisations both freehand and using a computer
- working closely with consultants, contractors, specialists and suppliers
- strong organisational skills, meeting deadlines and projects needs
- great communication skills both in the studio and in meetings
- knowledge of Vectorworks an advantage
- confident use of Adobe Creative Suite
- have the right to work in the UK
