About this opportunity

Graphic and visual designers play an integral role in delivering foresight products and services for our internal and external clients. The position of a graphic designer will focus on assisting the design team in visualising their concepts, illustrating reports and producing social media content, thus shaping the team’s wider visual identity.

An ideal candidate would be an open-minded designer with graphic design background, an agile and enthusiastic thinker who is not afraid to challenge the status quo.

Their past work experience should be in graphic design and conveying concepts through visualisations, illustrations and storytelling. A range of projects they were involved in should demonstrate their capability to work on multiple projects at once and to deliver assets to a high standard.

You will make an impact in this role by:

  • work with senior team members to produce the graphic design output of foresight products, projects, programmes and tools
  • conceptualise and develop high quality graphics, illustrations, videos, data visualisations and infographics for presentations, websites and marketing materials
  • work with the marketing and communications lead and design lead to translate design concepts into engaging visual content for a range of channels, including interactive content, animations, videos, and social media content
  • support website design, development and maintenance as required

Is this role right for you?

If so, you’ll likely have:

  • creative flair, be an enthusiastic team member and have strong visual skills, with the ability to manage several projects at once. The candidate should have a portfolio showcasing a wide range of design outputs
  • three to five years’ experience in visual communication and graphic design
  • ability to independently manage projects, including project planning and coordination with other teams
  • excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
  • proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  • understand UI/UX design principles

These additional skills would be an advantage, but are not a core requirement:

  • experience in 3D CAD software
  • working knowledge of HTML5/CSS and web design
  • experience in motion graphics and video editing (After Effects and Premiere Pro)
  • interest in making, knowledge of making techniques. and experience in using making equipment (laser cutting, 3D printing, etc.)
