Marcel Wanders is recruiting a surface pattern designer to join its team in Amsterdam.

Surface pattern designer
As our surface pattern designer you will be responsible for the generation and implementation of patterns work for the product-, interior- and communication department. You have the ability to understand the core brand attributes of Marcel Wanders and interpret them through your creative output.
You create design textures and graphic patterns for products and interiors such as wallpapers, carpets, textiles, upholsteries, ceramics- with a general understanding of surface treatments and repeat patterns. You work well under pressure and multi-tasking is your second nature.
You have experience with managing conflicting priorities and tight deadlines. With your strong work ethic and wide range of knowledge and experience in production techniques and technologies you add value to our incredible team.
Requirements:
- at least a Bachelors degree at a renowned design or fine arts academy
- five+ years similar experience
- to have a refined eye; sophisticated approach to color and composition
- excellent Adobe CS skills
- project management experience is an advantage
- graphic design experience is required
- fluent in English
- living in Amsterdam or willing to relocate
- European work visa, no need to apply if you don’t have EU visa
