Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel, an internationally recognised cross-disciplinary design firm based in Milan, Italy is looking for a bespoke furniture designer/senior interior designer/millwork specialist to join its office in Milan.
About you
You should be a good communicator, self-motivated and be willing to work in an established international design practice with a solid reputation.
They design unique made-to-measure furnishings, based on the specific requirements of the planners. They are very familiar with the construction techniques of furnishings, their systems of constituent parts, their components. They are involved in interior design workflow and they are responsible for bespoke and custom furniture design.
Your personality and qualifications:
- interior architecture/design or product design degree essential
- minimum of one-two years’ experience in similar role
- knowledge of BIM methodology and collaborative working (is an advantage)
- ability to work in an informal environment with different personalities
- ability to work on own initiative and be proactive
- ability to multitask and perform under pressure
- positive attitude, flexible, helpful and enthusiastic
- proficiency in English language
The role will involve a range of activities including:
- design furnishings on the basis of requests and project requirements
- selection of the most suitable materials in line with the planned space
- work with the project team with the aim of respecting delivery timescales
Software skills
- proficiency in Solidworks knowledge is essential
- knowledge of Revit is an advantage
- knowledge of Adobe Design Suite is an advantage
