OMA is seeking a junior business developer to join its Hong Kong office.
OMA’s Hong Kong office is looking for a junior business developer to join the business development team as soon as possible. The team is responsible for actively developing, acquiring and assessing potential projects, conducting market research and following up on market opportunities in Asia.
The ideal candidate shall be equipped with knowledge of architectural design processes, scoping of work, consultant selection and contracting, financial submission and managing client and consultant contracts.
In this position, you will be responsible for following up on potential projects lead and setting up pro-actively BD strategy. It includes market research, managing opportunity enquiry and follow through, creating frequent project updates, pre-screen potential projects and competitions, contract negotiation, contract management, maintain and manage client/consultant business relationships. You will work as part of an efficient Office Support team with a legal specialist, BD and PR manager and translator in direct collaboration with the leading OMA partner.
Requirements:
- MA degree (preferably educated in English) in architecture, real estate and marketing or equivalent
- minimum one year experience as a BD professional in creative industry, real estate, or project development, preferably in the Asian market
- experience with negotiating contractual arrangements, preferably in China
- experience in responding to requests for qualification/proposal, requests for information and client proposals
- experience/capability with the management of multiple assignments/deadlines
- proven capability to build and maintain client relationships
- skilled in InDesign, PowerPoint, MS Word, Excel, Photoshop
- professional proficiency in English and Mandarin (native Mandarin speaker would be preferred, any other Asian language is an asset)
- hands-on approach, self-disciplined and proactive
- confidence in working in a complex and international environment
- understanding of architecture and master planning and/or the art and design world is recommended
- immediate availability is preferred
