Marketing manager
There is an opportunity for a marketing manager to join Eckersley O’Callaghan at its London practice.
The company
Eckersley O’Callaghan is an award-winning engineering design practice. Since forming in 2004, we have grown to over 90 strong with offices in London, New York, San Francisco, Paris, and Shanghai. Motivated by meeting technical challenges in buildings with intelligent engineering design has led us to support a diverse range of architectural projects in the UK and across the world.
Our engagement with architecture and industry underpins our work as structural and facade engineers. In particular, we have engineered every significant Apple store worldwide since our formation, establishing our reputation as world-leading innovators in structural glass design. Meanwhile our other projects include residential, commercial, academic and cultural buildings.
We continue to win many of the top awards within our industry for our work.
The role
We are looking for a marketing manager to join our growing team. This person will lead our marketing efforts and play a key role in supporting the operational and strategic objectives of our dynamic business. They will work primarily with the management team:
directors, associate directors, and associates, marketing assistant, and business development coordinator. The position will be based in our London office, a light-filled space with views across the capital.
Responsibilities:
– produce and manage all external marketing communications
– oversee and deliver bids, proposals and submissions
– act as in-house copywriter and copyeditor
– write and edit marketing materials
– implement brand identity of all collateral
– oversee the development and management of the image library
– manage resources to meet a number of deadlines
– coordinate public relations and press activities
– support business development initiatives
– plan and organise client events
– oversee updating of client database and CRM system
Skills and experience
– creative and incisive writing ability
– experience of implementing B2B marketing principles
– knowledge of property and construction industry
– technically minded and aware
– interest in the built environment
– have an eye for graphic design
– be organised, methodical, with a keen eye for detail
– be commercially aware to maximise effectiveness of resources
– able to cope well under pressure and remain professional at all times
– manage people including their recruitment, personal development/training and performance management
– able to manage a number of marketing projects to deadline and on budget
– able to prioritise own workload, meet tight deadlines and work effectively under pressure at times
– able to build effective working relationships with professionals of all levels and disciplines within the organisation
