Design Haus Liberty is an architecture and interiors practice based in London, W8, known for delivering high-end commercial and residential schemes both in the UK and internationally. We are looking for a mid-weight designer with solid FF&E experience to join our team in London, W8.
Role summary
Our designers work closely with our directors in small teams on residential and commercial projects. We are looking for someone with rounded experience and with the aptitude and personal qualities to comfortably move between sectors, projects and clients as required.
Essential skills and experience:
- a degree in interior design (minimum 2:1 or equivalent preferred)
- four plus years’ of experience of high end residential and/or high end hospitality sectors
- creative and experienced in concept design to detailed design (RIBA Stages 0 to 3)
- fluent in Rhino and AutoCAD
- able to develop sets of drawings including GA, interior elevations and details
- experienced in material sourcing
- good knowledge of FF&E suppliers and with an ability to select furniture and materials that are consistent with Design Haus Liberty’s house style
- proven budget management and procurement experience
- proven experience producing FF&E schemes
- the ability to move between high end residential and commercial projects with ease
- proficiency in Rhino, AutoCAD and Creative Cloud (InDesign, PhotoShop) in a Windows (not Mac) environment
- proven ability to manage your own workload, work independently and and work proactively with minimal supervision
- experienced in staying calm and focused during projects to deliver on time, under pressure
- able to work both creatively and commercially i.e. understanding the need to work to a client budget (proactively seeking to know your time allocation and deadlines)
- prior work experience in a small, fast paced studio (e.g. less than 20 employees)
- proven experience as an effective team member in a small team (five people)
- an understanding of the (at times) organic nature of small businesses and the flexibility, communication and collaboration this requires
- established skills in producing detailed and accurate work. This is non negotiable
