Jed Lind Interiors is hiring an intermediate designer/architect to join its team in Los Angeles.
Jed Lind Interiors is a design studio based in Los Angeles CA focusing on high-end residential projects in both Los Angeles and New York City. Projects span from full architectural remodels, ground-up construction, furnishing and decor appointment and historical mid-century restorations. The studio strives to create sophisticated spaces with a feeling of subtle modern luxury for a discerning clientele. A timeless and minimal point of view dictates the direction Jed Lind Interiors adopts to develop inspiring yet livable and highly functional homes. A strong emphasis on historical research, in addition to thoughtful sourcing of natural and reclaimed materials, allow every environment to come to life with integrity and intention.
Primary job responsibilities include:
- participation in design development
- production of concept, schematic and design development drawings, sketches, perspectives, renderings and presentations including finish and material sample boards and graphic presentations
- production and coordination of schematic, design development and construction document level documentation including schedules and specifications as required
- interfacing with external consultants to coordinate design and construction drawing sets
- participation in site visits as well as meetings with clients and contractors
Note: this position is currently remote with an expectation to return to the office full time in the future
Qualifications:
- a minimum of six years of experience at an architecture or interior design firm
- a demonstrated knowledge of residential construction and renovation
- experience in working with construction documents and construction administration
- proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and SketchUp (Revit is a plus)
- strong organizational and verbal communication skills
- eligible to work in the US and based in Los Angeles
- enjoys a small office environment where a culture of collaboration, self-motivation and initiative are highly valued
