Base Interior is hiring an office administrator to join its team in London.

Base Interior, an award-winning studio in Marylebone London, are seeking a friendly office administrator to join their small team.

We are looking for a creative office administrator, who shares our passion for interiors to join our team. As the first point of contact, the applicant will need to be friendly, confident and take initiative when dealing with all enquiries. Experience with payments and invoicing is necessary, as well as using Microsoft Excel. The applicant will need to be organised, independent and driven in order to succeed in this busy design studio.

Your role will be to assist in managing the office and all necessary administration for the company to run efficiently. You will also be performing PA duties to the Managing Director, as well as assisting all members of the design team across multiple projects.

The following are some, though not an exclusive list, of the duties you will be expected to carry out:

  • meeting and greeting visitors at all levels of seniority; ensuring refreshments are available and offered for all meetings
  • screening phone calls, enquiries and requests, and handling them when appropriate
  • organising the office storage and maintaining supplies of stationery, equipment and kitchen stock
  • responding to client and supplier enquiries
  • keeping the office calendar updated with any important dates
  • arranging in-house and external events
  • liaising with all office sub-contractors, including cleaners, security, property managers, IT and printer technicians and reporting any issues
  • PA duties to the managing director
  • invoicing clients
  • payments of supplier invoices
  • management of social media
  • managing the organisation of supplier accounts and library alongside the FF&E team
  • assisting the design team with concept presentations and scheduling
  • assisting the design team with placing orders and making returns in a timely manner
  • attending site visits alongside the design team when necessary

Salary: between 22k to 25k depending on experience.

At least two years experience in a similar role necessary.
